Ok, excessively smart Homo sapiens, let's do some fish identification!  Here is a picture of a type of fish that lives in Mouse Creek.  Give me all you can on it.  Go for all of the following.  Taxonomy - Kingdom, Phylum, Class, Order, Family, Genus, Species.  Be sure to put the scientific name in correct format.  Also, give me the common name and information about the ecology of this fish (habitat, niche, range, spawning details, etc.).  Now, unless you know all of this information off the top of your head (There are a few of you who know all of this off the top of your head - I know who you are.), you definitely need to cite references (in correct format).  And, I want you to paraphrase (means summarize in your own words).

Kingdom Anamalia, Phylum Chordata, Class Osteichthyes, Order Cypriniformes, Family Castomidae, Genus Hypentelium, Species Hypentelium nigricans. Northern hog sucker. Lives in clean streams with not much current. They spawn in May or April when they are three years old. Several males fertilize one female's eggs. The males hollow out an area about three feet wide, female lays her eggs, males fertilize them while their heads are down and their tails are sticking up out of the water.Laughingfunny image. This is a northern hogsucker, or Hypentelium nigricans(italicize).
    Taxonomy:
    Kingdom-Animalia
    Phylum-Chordata
    Class-Actinopterygii
    Order-Cypriniformes
    Family-Catostomidae
    Genus-Hypentelium
    Species-nigricans

The northern hogsucker's habitat is clean streams with a medium to fast current. It doesn't do well in dirty or contaminated water. Also, it likes gravel or rocky bottoms, so it can be camouflaged by its color. It's niche is a consumer. It sucks gunk and animal and plant waste from the bottom. They spawn when they are three years old. After the girl lays her eggs, the guys fertilize them while doing head stands with their tails sticking out of the water.
