Students,
There are some really interesting instincts and patterns of behavior in the animal kingdom. We learned in reading class that orangutans are afraid of heights and have to learn how to climb trees (which is where they live)! There are lots of other animals that have some odd behaviors that are either instincts or learned behaviors.
 
Comment below if you know of an animal or have researched about and organism that has an unusual pattern of behavior.
 
Here is an example:
Ogre-faced Spiders, also known as Net-casting spiders or stick spiders, are native to Australia and have an unusual way of catching their prey. Instead of making a stationary web, waiting for their prey to get stuck, they hold a small web in their hands and throw it out at their prey to catch it. What an amazing instinct!!

    Did you know that giraffes are scared of hights because they are afraid of tiping over.thats why they dont go more then five feet off the groud whene they run.
