Well... *For one they'd be a free nation *They'd be able to propose there own laws *They could tax each other like they wanted *They wouldn't have to follow under another counties rule *They could have all the tea they wanted with the intolerable acts lifted *Um... They could more than likely do more stuff if the were independent from England.... Like be independent...
They could finally be a free nation: move where they want, end unnessary taxes, do what they want when they want, and they don't have to depend on England.
They didn't want to follow the King. They wanted to be an independent nation and make their own decisions. They didn't need to do everything the King said and they weren't going to. The taxes were unfair and worthy of rebellion. All they wanted was complete independence from Britain.
They didn't want or need to have their decisions made by the king, they wanted to make their own decisions. They believed that the taxes and regulations were unfair and suitable for rebellion. Being a free nation seems like the only way to fix all these problems. All they wanted was complete independence from Britain.
Ok. This topic needs some decent reasons supporting the patriots, but I'm afraid that if I wrots my full views, then there wouldn't be enough space for anyone else. Therefore, what you bascially need to know is this: Britian is trying to control colonists lives by taxing them without representation, reinforing laws that they must abide, and forcing them to live by thier standerds on land they are also being forced to live on.Being treated like tools during war and helpless children afterwards that will be punished if resisting in any way. A question for loyalists and patriots alike that are reading this: is this fair?
Reasons for independance from England: 1) high taxes/hidden,(especially after the French and Indian war) 2) quartering of troops 3) unwarented search and seasures 4) The Proclamation oe 1763 5) no trial by jury( in most colonies) 6) The Stamp Act,Sugar Act,Intolerable/Coercive Acts 7)no liberty/freedom 8) couldn't freely self govern( enforse own laws and taxes)
they didnt like to be tax by britian so they wanted there own independent nation
To be free from that tyrannt of a king, King George III. Also to be granted basic rights- as an American- that the colonists were deprieved of!
