This is the Blog Spot for Katherine Thimmesh's Team Moon You must read the entire book before you can add a comment here.

A meaningful Blog will include a variety of opinions and a rich discussion of a topic.  This Blog will give students a chance to share their unique views about this year's Bluebonnet books.

Here are some ideas for comments:

  • How is Team Moon different from other books about space?
  • Share a couple sentences from the book that explain the importance of teamwork.
  • What was the most surprising thing from Team Moon?
  • Which did the author focus more on: before the space mission, during the space mission, or after the space mission?  Why did the author spend more time on this section?
Once several students have shared their own comments, you may want to respond to those comments.  You may respond to your classmates with courtesy.  Make sure to add some sort of additional insight, though.  (Don't just say, "I agree.")

It is amazing how much work went into launching the space shuttle Apollo 11. 400,000 people! This book really shows how complicated something is that looks so simple on TV.

This book is better than many other books about space exploration because it has an enormous bibliography and gives a lot of awesome suggestions if kids want to do more research in the "for further exploration" section in the back of the book.

Team Moon was a good book. I was surprised how brave they were when all the alarms went off. The heat protector shield was cool. 400,000 people, the same number of honeycombs!

This book is almost like a book report on everything you need to know about the moon! It has all sorts of fun information about Apollo 11 and Armstrong- when he first landed on the moon. It also has very usefull resources in the back of the book that could be used for any kind of moon or moon landing project.

I liked the photographs because I really felt like I was there. Team Moon is different from other space books because it gives more information like chapter notes, sources and lots of quotes.

This book was intresting. I thought that they should of talked about some reasons why they might have not gone to the moon, but that is just my oppinion.
