There are so many movies being made from our books these days. One that I'm really looking forward to is The City of Ember . It comes out in just 10 days. The book is one of my favorite futuristic / sci fi books. It's about a couple of kids that live in a city with absolutely no natural light. The people depend on a huge generator to provide power and the lights that the city depends on every day. When the generator starts failing, it is up to the kids to save the city from utter darkness.
I'm sure the movie will be good, but I'm a little worried. It appears that one critical piece of information that is revealed late in the book is disclosed early on in the movie. I liked the element of surprise in the book, so I hope it doesn't ruin the movie. Go to cityofember.com to see a great trailer for what should be an awesome movie - if it's anything like the book.
See you at the movies!
