I am looking forward to being able to not have to stay in a class line like in Windsong. Also being able to talk to friends between classes.
I am really anticipating a great first year at the Jr. High! I am particularly nervous about going to band class because I will be the only 7th grade percussionist playing alongside 8th graders in Symphonic Band. I'm really looking forward to learning Latin this year, and dissecting sheep eyes, frogs, and chickens in Science! I’m also elated about not having to walk in nice, straight, quiet lines anymore!!!! This is going to be a happy 7th grade for me! (I hope)
In the next 2 years I am looking forward to making new friends and succeeding in my academics. I enjoy playing volleyball, so I hope to make the volleyball team. There are about two things that I am most dreading about Jr. High. 1, if you turn any papers in a day late it is 50 points of. 2, the finals. The reason I am dreading the finals is that they are going to be very hard. There is no doubt about it, but I am going to study, study, and study.
The thing that I am most looking forward this year is meeting new people and getting a better education. I cannot wait to see how many friends I will make in all of my classes! But, the thing I am dreading most about coming to FJH is not seeing a lot of my old friends I made at Windsong Intermediate. It throws you out of your comfort zone when you walk into a classroom and you don't know anyone. But I have to remember that by the end of the year I will hopefully know everyone's name and be really good friends with them!
Like my sister said, junior high is already more fun than intermediate school. I'm actually looking forward to the homework because I think it starts to matter in junior high. I want to have a good education and be athletic. At Windsong they didn't have sports, so thats something I'm looking forward to. All of the teachers are very nice. Something I'm not looking forward to would be getting out of school so late. Last year I got out at 3:10. It's a big difference. It's kind of like a caterpillar coming out of a cocoon. We all begin to grow out of our shells. I'm going to have a great year this year!
Having my own locker is what I am looking forward to the most. Unlike some people, I didn't have much trouble opening my locker. Another thing I am excited about is the fact that you don't have the same teacher all day long. I am not really dreading about anything at the Jr. High, but one thing I am not happy with is the short amount of time you have to travel around the campus. I'm worried I'll be getting to class late. But other than that, I'm excited about the next 2 years I have at Jr. High.
Well, over the next two years I think that I’m most looking forward to learning a language, and in my case, Spanish. I’ve always wanted to learn a different language other than my own, and Jr. High would be a great place to start. I have a Hispanic house keeper and I think it would be great to finally communicate with her. So far I’ve had to guess what she is saying! So hopefully by the time I’m in High School, I will be able to speak fluent Spanish! I think the one thing that I will really be dreading over the next two years, is having so many hard tests and quizzes! I personally hate all types of pop quizzes, exams, tests, benchmarks and T.A.K.S. tests! They are so hard for me to complete, but I know that I’ll be receiving more and more every year! I’ll just have to get over it!
I am looking forward to learning German so the next time my Mom travels to Europe on business I can go and speak the language. I am looking forward to reading new novels in class. I like to read Science Fiction.
During the next two years, I am looking forward to all of the freedom I am going to get. For instance, last year at Windsong, our teachers had to take us to every class, and had to make sure we followed every rule there was. But this year we get to find our way to each class and I can tell the teachers are not going to get mad at us for every little rule we break. Also last year, we had few choices of what to eat at lunch, and I always got mad at their variety of food. Instead, this year we have many choices.
Oh my gosh! im looking forward to meeting lots of new people, and learning new things. What im dreding the most though would have to be, getting to my classes to my classes on time.
I am looking forward to meeting new people. I am also looking forward to having a locker and having different people in each class.I am a little worried about not getting t class on time of forgeting my homework!
I am looking forward to having lots of fun with all my classes. Also, I can't wait to build something in the construction class. I am probably getting really mad at my locker it gets stuck just about every single time I try to open it.
Even though i just moved here thinking that school would be really bad but i guess i was wrong!
I'm loking forward to alot of things these next two years at Jr.High. I am really looking forward to having lockers to cram all my stuff in and not having to carry around my backpack everywhere I go.I am also very excited on having seven different teachers with seven different personalties. The same goes with having different classmates in all your classes to get to know new people and make friends. Another thing I'm really looking forward to is having electives. Although I did get electives in sixth grade I only got one and, there weren't as nearly as much to choose from. Jr.High electives let you choose alot more extra things and, Jr.High has forien languages you can choose to do.
I cannot wait for the school year to really kick off, because being at the Jr. High brings so many new things for me like: meeting new people, learning french, getting ready for high school, etc. The main things I'm dreading about 7th grade is being late to classes and sports in the morning, and our final exams..they seem scary! In 8th grade I see nothing to dread over, so it's all good then I hope.(:
This new phase is my life called Junior High... hopefully its not that bad! So far this year has been absolutly amazing! I am very lucky to have the teachers that I have, they are trully outdstanding! I am very excited to meet new people and hopefully make more friends. Memories, something I will deffinetly never forget. I am sure that i will make many this year, and im very excited! I actually dont mind homework, I think its part of growing up. Drama, something I am deffinetly not looking forward to. I also do not look forward to studing, it takes up a lot of time! I am not excited for a lot of things that will happen this year, but I do know that everything I do is for a reason. Everything will eventually pay off. This year is full of excitment too, I cant wait for a lot of things to happen this year. So, i guess everything evens out!!!
With every new year, there comes new things...that is especially true in Junior High. I like that we are able to choose which classes we want to take and that there are more extracurricular activities and electives. I am looking forward to starting cross country and learning new words in Latin, which is fun and educational at the same time! Having lockers is another good thing because I can store all my supplies in there instead of carrying my backpack around all the time. I really hope that this year will be one of the best school years I have ever had.
Junior High was very confusing and nerveracking when it began, but once I got the hang of it it was OK. I am most nervous though about being late for classes and getting tardies. It has been great though this year because I have awesome teachers and classes! I have already had lots of homework which isn't very much fun, but at least it isn't really hard. I am looking forward to making new friends because there is a bunch of people I have never seen in my life here which is kind of overwhelming. Everybody is friendly and nice to me so I don't think it will be too hard to make more friends though. I think everything will we be OK though and Junior High is goinf to be lots of fun! I will also have lots of new experiences and stories to tell by the end of the year. Once everybody in the school is used to the new year everything will be easier I think. I know everything will be great this year and I am looking forward to learning lots of new and interesting things.
I am most excited about the lockers. I think it will be fun to have a place to put all my junk instead of having to constantly haul it around. I am dreading homework. I have been told rumors that at about the 3rd week of school, homework starts to pile up, and I'm very afraid of late work too.
I am looking forward to Jr. high! But I am dreading the nights that I have soccer practice. With homework, soccer, and band, I'm not sure I'll get to bed before ten o'clock! But other than that everything else about Jr. high seems GREAT! I am soooooo glad that we get lockers this year! with all the books we have this year, I don't know haw I would have carried all of my binders from class to class. All the teachers seem really nice as well. this is going to be a great year of Jr. High!
So far Jr.. high has been a blast but I'm dreading the nights were I have soccer, lots of homework, and band practice, all in the same night. on those days I don't think I will get to bed before ten o'clock! Other than that, I am looking forward to Jr. high. It's going to be a whole new experience for me, but I'm sure it will be a fun one. All my teachers seem to be really nice. In addition to that all of the students seem really respectful and polite. Also we get lockers! If we didn't get lockers ,I'm not sure I'd be able to carry all the binders and books I have around from class to class. It would be really heavy! This year is definitely going to be a blast!!!!!!
Junior High is amazing, I love it. It’s so different from Bales or Windsong, there you had to walk in lines and the teachers would treat you like you were in third grade. They would make us walk in lines, and make sure that we were quiet. In junior high it’s very different. You are able to walk in the hallways not in a line, and you can talk to your friends. Speaking of friends, I am making so many new ones, and caught up with many. As a child I went to Cline so I got to know the Windsong and Bales kids, I was very fortunate. Also in junior high you are able to try out for sports, I love that! It has been a blast for me to try out for volleyball and meet new friends that enjoy the same sport as I do. I love junior high!
I'm looking forward to having a locker and also having the freedom to walk to classes by yourself or with your friends. I'm dreading the time when we switch classes and there are no students in my class from last year or my frinds that I know. I hope that Jr. High would be more fun than intermediate school, especially having a locker for the first year would be fun too. I'm also anxious if the new Jr. High would be different than the older one and if the tryouts for sports would be difficult, too. I'm looking forward to homework because the homework will be fun and maybe challenging.I think that it is very important for your future because it helps get the student more practice.I also think that Jr. High will have more oppurtunities to make more friends. Jr. High is going to be very fun with the nice teachers and the fun activities for classes like disecting a sheep's eye, chickens, and frogs. I think the teachers want to try to make it easier for students to understand and to have fun learning it. I hope that Jr. High will be really fun!
I'm really excited for this school year. For example, I want to make lots of new friends and keep the old ones too. But, I'm also scared of being tardy because my loker got jammed the first day and I ended up being tardy because my class is on the other side of the school. I can't wait to start cross country and track! It sounds so fun and exciting! I hope I win at least one race. My friend and I have been training for track with our trainer for a while now, and every session we get faster and faster! I think all my teachers are great and exciting and I think I will learn a lot with them.
Since my brother had just gone through seventh grade, he told me what to expect that the teachers required. I wasn’t really dreading the Junior High, more looking forward to it. Now, I am able to judge for myself about the FJH.One of the things I dread is going to my locker. Where my locker is located, the hallways are very narrow. At the end of the day, I have to rush to my locker. If I am not quick enough, many people will there, so I will have to wait for my turn. Also, I would have to try to avoid people as they rush to their destinations. It’s like the whole seventh grade has erupted out of all their rooms. However, if I arrive early, I have to move swiftly or pupils might trample me or I might bump my head on an opened door of a locker. Hopefully, seventh grade will be a blast!
As the school year progresses, I learn that junior high will not be as bad as it once seemed. Lockers are starting to open easier now, and everyone is starting to make some new friends. Friends are the biggiest reason I like to go back to school. A big difference between Bales and the junnior high, is that you can try-out for sports. All the sports that I want to play, you have to try-out for. Aughhhhh! I won't worry though, because I am good at all the sports I play! The only thing I am dreading is getting tardys. After you get three tardys, you get a absence. My mom would get on me for that. I am not scared though, because I know I have friends and teachers to help me through.
I am very much looking forward to a great year at the Jr. High! I really like having a locker. Unlike very many people I know, I have had no trouble at all with the lockers. I also enjoy having 7 different classes throughout the day. It is a whole lot better than having one teacher for 7 and a half hours. I can't wait until we get to dissect the frog, chicken wing, and sheep eye. I think that will be a fun way to learn new things. I am sort of nervous about the short amount of time between classes and late work, but hopefully I won't be tardy or turn in anything late.
I'm having a great time in Junior High, it's really nice having lockers, because you don't have to carry everything around.I really like it when you step into the hallways you see familiar friends and friends soon to be. I'm really scared to get a late assignment because I forgot a lot of things. Other than that I'm looking forward to a great year.
I'm looking forward to having seven teachers, and getting to know them well. I'm also looking forward to making a bunch of new friends with all the kids coming from Bales. Mostly, I'm looking forward to moving a year closer to getting out into the big world. Being super short like I am, I'm kind of afraid I'll get pushed around to much, or get lost in some dark hallway. Homework is also not my favorite thing in the world, so I'm not so thrilled about seven possible classes worth. But no matter how I feel about entering this new school, I'm going to make the best of it. (: -Ashtyn <3
So far I am having a really good year at Juinior High! I really like being able to walk without bieng in a line. I am really starting to hate my locker, partly because it barely holds all of my things, and partly because it is really, really, really hard to unlock! I really like being able to go straight from seventh period to football. It is nice because when I played in TIFFY you would just be getting settled in st home and... BOOM! Its already time to go to football. One of the things I am not looking forward to is getting a tardy. You barely have enough time to open your locker, let alone get your stuff and head to your class. All in all , the good outweighs the bad but the best thing about Junior High is the freedom!
I’m having a blast at the Friendswood Junior High! One of the things that I like about it is that it’s different from the schools you went to, from Pre-K through 6 grade. For example you’re not just limited to your basic core classes anymore, there’s so much more! Like theatre, different languages, art, band, choir, and of course sports! I also like that you have way more freedom then at Bales or Windsong. Such as, the teachers treat you more maturely and you don‘t walk in lines to everywhere, because chances are not everybody in your line has the same schedule as you. Lastly, you get to meet new people in your classes and maybe even in the hallways! One thing I’m dreading though, is the homework load. So far it seems pretty manageable, so no worries right? All in all Friendswood Junior High is great!
I am totally looking forward to a awesoem year at the Jr. High. One of the best things about Jr. High is having a locker. Unlike alot of people, I haven't had trouble trying to open a locker (the only trouble I've had is trying to remember the combination). Another thing that I'm really happy about in Jr. High, is having a different teacher for each class. Then if you happen to dislike one of your teachers, you can just wait until the next class. The one thing I'm worried about is latework... I mean seriously, 50 points off just for one day late? Thats way too harsh, but what ever I didn't have any late work last year so hopefully this year will be the same.
I'm really exited to be in Junior High. I'm really looking forward to having a locker, and my electives are really cool. All my teachers are really nice, and I'm happy about that. The only things I'm worried about are late grades and getting to my classes on time. Besides that I love Junior High!!!!!
Jr. High is really cool! I love being able to have more freedom and being able to talk with friends from class to class. It's really cool we don't have to walk in straight lines anymore! All my teachers are really nice. They're all very fun and so far, my classes have been pretty good. Also, the fact that we ahve lockers is really cool! (even though a bigger one might be preferred) It's nice that we don't have to carry our backpack around all day. Mine was starting to get REALLY HEAVY in 6th grade! I think I'm mostly worried about late work. 50 points off for one late grade! That's tough! Hopefully, I don't have any late work, or at least not much! Other than that though, Junior High is really awesome!
Starting this new year in Junior High is definitely exciting and nerve wrecking! What I’m looking forward to is not having to walk in single file line everyday (not one of my favorite things to do), chewing gum during class, having so many teachers, and the lunch food being so much better! Some of the things I’m dreading would definitely be having so much homework I wouldn’t be able to keep up with it, being late to class, doing a project that is worth a big part of my grade and then leaving it at home, and having mean teachers. Although this year things I’m looking forward to are going up and the not so good things have not happened yet, I do have lots of homework and I am losing some sleep, but not too much sleep.
I am really excited about going to the Junior High. I am most excited about having a locker to put my stuff in. I have never used a locker till now so it was a little tricky to me at first. I’m also looking forward to meet new friends and new teachers. I hope my teachers are nice and do not give out a lot of homework. Another thing I am excited about is the tryout for the sports team. Basketball and tennis are the teams I want to tryout for. The things I’m worried the most are having too many tests, late work, and not having enough time to get to the next class. Lastly, I hope my two years of Junior High will be filled with challenges but fun.
Jr. High has been awesome so far!!!!! And I hope it stays that way the next two years!!! I really like the lockers because in elementary and mostly in intermediate schools, we had to carry our stuff with us where ever we go or when we are switching classes. And take our math stuff with us to science class, and in my opinion that’s carrying overload. But, at the Jr. High you don’t have to do that, you just drop all the unnecessary things and take your necessary things to your next class. I also, like how the teachers treat us maturely, by means, when we are walking to the library or the computer lab or someplace else, they don’t tell us to walk in a line like we are still in intermediate school or elementary school. You can also say that the teachers trust us to walk quietly from the class to where ever we are going and not to disturb the other classes which are I the way or route of where ever we are going. I am especially looking forward to dissecting sheep eyes, chickens, and frogs in science class (that will be fun). And, I am also looking forward to Algebra I classes (which are fun). I took Latin as one of my electives this year and I hope that by the end of eighth grade, I would speak and understand Latin fluently or something close to that. All my other classes have been equally fun and exciting as all the ones that I just listed above. I also like all of my teachers, and I guess I am very lucky to get such good role-model teachers teaching me. The thing I am most dreading about the next two years, is about my locker getting stuck and being tardy to a class and making up for it. I am also dreading the part about a lot of work!!!!! But, I guess I’ll survive!!! Hopefully!!!
I am so happy to finally be in Junior High!! It's so much fun !! I like the lockers because we can go there and get the things we need for each class. It beats carrying around the same supplies and folders for each class and it just was a really big overload because you have so much stuff to carry around. I am worried the 3 tardies but at least it's for each class because I'm always worried about Advisory class because there is a huge mass of kids trying to get to their lockers and it's just a huge crowd you have to get through and normally everyone who has a locker around you is not there between each period but before Advisory everyone is there and it gets really overwhelming. But overall, I think Junior High is going to be my favorite school year so far!
The thing that I am most looking forward to in Junior High is trying to win a district championship in football. The B team went undefeated last year, and I hope we do the same this year! The thing that I am most dreading in Junior High is having a lot of homework. With football practice everyday for two hours, I have to stay up late to get everything finished.
Junior high is great so far! I am loving the freedom of not walking in lines, having a locker, and having 7 different teachers! At first, I was very nervous about getting lost, but now it is so easy! I have also made many new friends! This year I am taking pre-ap and GT classes and I am nervous about all the work and projects. Hopefully all goes well this year!
When I finished 6th grade I was really excited about junior high because my older brother loved it and who isn’t excited about going to a new school. And it was the first time I would have a locker and 7 different teachers. I knew it was going to be a lot of responsibility. I also knew I was going to have to keep all my stuff organized and together so I would not lose all of my stuff. I was also nervous about P.E and dressing out and showering with all of the other girls. But now that I have started junior high and met all my teachers and gotten tips from all of them about how to keep my stuff together and organized. I have also met my gym teacher and all the girls in my class it is not bad at all. I have done really well with my locker and love having 7 different teachers!!! I will definitely always remember Friendswood junior high and can’t wait to see what high school is going to be like!!!
There are a few things about junior high that I am looking forward to. Since, I am coming from a private school the first thing that I have enjoyed is wearing normal clothes; instead of, a school uniform. My previous school was not that big so, the thought of being at a school this size was a little overwhelming. I'm looking forward to making new friends since, I do not know many people at the junior high. At this time, I am dreading finals because they did not have them at my previous school. Also, I am unsure of the TAKS testing.
My brother said that the junior high was not going to be a good year for me. I think he just said that because he didn't have such a great year when he was there. I'm having a blast so far. It's good to have a locker so I don't have to carry everything everywhere. The teachers are really nice and most of my classes are enjoyable. I'm extremely excited about being able to play sports in school because we weren't able to do that at Windsong. I like switching classes and not having to stay in the same boring class all day long. Well, I hope my year continues to be awesome!
I look forward to all the freedom in FJH. The five minutes between classes gives me time to get my books, talk to a friend, and get to class. I also look forward to having the great teachers. The lookers have just enough room to fit all my stuff. So, I am looking forward to having a great two years.
I would have to say, I'm looking forward to having lockers, because it helps me hide some of my personal stuff. Last school year, someone saw something in my backpack that was very personal and practically showed it to the entire class. I felt like a total failure in life. I also think that getting more teachers will help make the day go by faster than it seemed at Windsong. I mean, when you have little change all day, it gets old fast. But one of the things I'm simply DREADING about is the fact that when I went on a tour of the school in summer, I snuck into the boys locker room and noticed that the showers were TOTALLY open to each other and there were I think seven showers in each room. I mean, no privacy whatsoever! But all in all, I'm optimistic about my junior high experience.
I look forward to having a lot of freedom. I'll have my own locker, five minuets between classes, and more. I also look forward to having great teachers. So, overall I am looking foward to a good year.
