Who has been the biggest influence on your life? What lessons have they taught you?
*Remember to answer in complete sentences and complete paragraphs. Your answer needs to be three sentences long at the very least.
The person who influences me most in my life is probally my mom. My mom is the cooliest person I have ever met. But, I know almost everone says that but my mom helps me through anything. My mom has taught me everything I know. She taught me how to cook family recipies that have been passed down forever in our family and now I know them. My mom helps me when I am sick and not able to go to school. She sat home with me and helped me back to health. My mom is my role model and I will always love her. That is who and why my mom is the biggest influence in my life.
Wow1 I have a lot of influential people in my life. Of course, there are my parents, who've taught me to set high goals and work for them. They also taught me to have high standards of myself and other people. Stating that, they always told me to never lower my standards for other people, but have people raise their standards to meet mine. Another major influence on my life are my friends. Since I hang out with them ninety percent of the time, they have a huge impact on me. They've taught me to remain true to myself even if other people are pushing me to go with the crowd. Celebrities are another major role in a kid's life. The celebrity that has set a huge impression on me is Taylor Swift. I admire her because in the face of Hollywood, where the crowd often goes partying and doing other irresponsible things, Taylor is always conscientious and shows her maturity even at a young age. Her actions are always louder than her words. More often, it is what she DOESN'T do that grabs my attention. She is a true person, that treats people with the same positive, polite attitude, no matter how rude they are...yeah, I'm talking to you, Kanye West!
The biggest influences in my life have got be my parents, because they have taught me mostly everything I know. Except for school stuff, because the teachers do that. Like my dad is an athletic director in Pearland and he's taught me a lot about volleyball, softball, and basketball. My mom has taught me how to cook and sew.I love them so much.
My biggest influence is my dad. He can fix about everything and knows a lot about machines and computers. He is an engineer and that is what I would like to be when I grow up. He's taught me that you don't have to have every thing and that if you look for a better deal online you will probably find one. Also, that you can save money by fixing the thing that's broken yourself.
The most influential person in my life is my mom. She makes a point of drumming life lessons into my head repeatedly. When I tell her what happened in my day, she includes a lesson in her reply. If something has me in a bad mood, she will sooth my temper (or my sadness) and will give me a knowing head nod or two. She has taught me many lessons in my life, such as, Friends come and go. My friends will leave me for someone else, but don't worry, because I'm not married to them. That is the lesson most recently taught to me. Even if I don't like her lessons, she will teach me them anyway, but it will always be for my benefit.
The biggest influence in my life has to be my dad. Throughout my career in sports my dad has taught me that you should always give it your all and to never give up. These lessons don't just apply to sports they also apply to life. In life, it doesn't do you any good to quit once it get's hard. If your not good at something, then you work hard to get better. This is why my dad is the biggest influence to me.
The biggest influence in my life would be my parents. They're the people I see the most and they've taught me so much. They've taught me to never give up and always set high goals. They've thought me to respect everyone, not be too greedy and selfish, and always be modest. They've thought be to never underestimate myself and always try hard. They've taught me to be responsible and fair. They will always be my role models.
Whenever I hear the word Christmas, I think of happiness and a day filled with joy. It is a day that my family and I devote to our religion. I always love waking up and it smelling like Christmas-pine trees and gingerbread. When my family goes to sit by the tree to open presents, I always love to see their expressions. I love to hear what they say when they are excited and surprised to see their gifts. Christmas is one of my favorite holidays and it makes me feel fortunate to be able to wake up and come down and see all the presents. I know someone out there is waking up and looking at a road because they do not have a home where they can spend time with their family. The word Christmas reminds me to give to those in need of help.
The most influential people in my life are my parents; they have taught me everything from when I was a baby to my life today. My mom has taught me all my manners, how to act and helped me with friendship problems. My dad taught me everything about playing sports. He is always at my games telling me afterwards what to work on. He has great work ethic and I appreciate the time and effort he spends for me and my family. My parents are most influential people in my life and I love them to death!!
I have had many influential people in my life, including my parents and many friends, but the most influential person in my life would be my young swim coach, Sam Hafele. Sam has taught me many important traits for life, be prepared, be on task and follow directions, work hard and stay fit, be polite to, and respect not only your elders but everyone around you, and many other countless lessons. By watching him perform these tasks I have learned that by doing these things you will be very successful in school, work, and in everyday life and people will want to hang around you, and many will look up to you, just like I did to Sam.
The biggest influence in my life is my mom. She is the one that takes me to my sports practice, to my activities, and other things. She has taught me a lot of lessons. Like "treat others as you would like to be treated," "try to find something nice about someone, then compliment them on that thing," and "do you homework in a timely fashion." I love my mom and she is a great influence.
The biggest influencer I’ve had in my life is my daddy. My daddy is a genius, well-organized, solicitous, and an affectionate person. He has helped me and has spoken many words of wisdom in my life time. Usually, I act before I think, and the results aren’t very brilliant. My daddy has talked to me about this before and he quoted, “What is done cannot be undone.” Now I have learned from this and other mistakes, all thanks to my daddy, a superb, magnificent, intelligent, and most of all, loving person of all time.
The person who influences me the most is probably my sister, Emily. She is a big part of my life and an amazing role model. I would love to live a life like hers because she has connected with God and lived her live to the fullest. Even though she isn’t perfect I look up to her as a sister, role model, and a friend who I can tell everything to. Em keeps all my secrets and helps me find ways to tell my mom about things that might have been awkward without her helping me. That is why my Emily is the most influential person on me.
There are many influences in my life, but one of the most important one is my mom. But it’s not just because she’s fun to be around with, or that she’s loving, responsible, and not mention very intelligent. No, it’s more than just that that. It’s the little things that she does that brings a smile to my face. Like even though she’s beyond wiped out after work, she still comes to watch my games. Or one day she makes a lavish breakfast for everyone just out of the blue. It’s not only that though, when I need some help she gives great advice even though I don’t directly ask her. So, no matter what the problem or the size of it is; I know I can always count on her and this makes me want to have the exact same character as her. I guess it just goes to show that sometimes less is more.
There are many influences on my life. Two of the most major influences are my family and my friends. My friends influenced me by encouraging me to take good risks and strive for the best. They have helped me emerge from my cocoon. Without them, I probably would not have done a lot of things I did last year.My family has probably influenced me the most. My father and mother encourages me to do the very best I can. My brother always helps me when I’m stuck on a problem. My sister has made me realize I have to be a good role model.I have many different influences on my life, all of them for the good.
Wow alot of people have influenced me during my lifetime. My parents play a large role in my life because they deal with me every day. When I have an attitude or have my different moods and emotions they are the ones that are there to deal with it. I have to admit that is a pretty hard job to take care of me.To deal with sports I have to say Jennie Finch is the biggest role model. She is not afraid to stand up above the crowd and show her true self. Peer pressure isn't something that effects her. She has showed me that I don't need to be afraid to be my own person and anything that I set my mind to I can succeed at. So that is who and why Jennie Finch is my role model.
The biggest influence in my life would have to be my mom. She has always been supportive and loves me unconditionally. I mean it doesn't matter what I do, she may get upset, but always loves me no matter what. Recently, I forgot to turn a paper in that I had done while on the trip to San Antonio to watch my brother at the State Marching Contest. I did it in the hotel, but didn't get it turned in on time, so I got a zero for a test grade. She was really upset with me, but still told me she loves me. Of course we had a long talk about responsibility before we got to the part about how much she loves me. Even though I don't like those conversations, I learn valuable lessons from her when we have them. My mom always tells me that I need to use the blessings that God has given me. I am glad my mom is hard on me sometimes. It shows me that she cares about me. She always tells me to do my best at everything.
The person who has had the biggest influences on my life would probably be my dad or my grandmother. My grandmother was the person who introduced me to figure skating. She took me when I was six years old and I have been living a competitive figure skater life style since. It has change my life and I have had many life experinces that I could not have experinced with out skating. I also think my da has had major influences on my life because he is a very hard working buisness man and it encourages me to work hard every day of my life.
The person who has influenced me most is my brother, Zachary. Over the years, he has taught me how to remain serene, expand my mind, and never stop doing the best I can do. By being serene I can keep calm in situations that are hectic, chaotic, or out of control. When I stay calm, my stress is reduced and I rarely become angry. My brother has taught me how to expand my mind and to think “outside the box.” By expanding my mind, I can think about ideas in greater depth and more detail. This has helped me write and speak with greater knowledge on more subjects. Zachary has also taught me always to do my best which means not to preform a task in a rushed or average way, but carefully, always pushing myself to exceed limitations and expectations. This assists me in both school and in music. In school, I try to go beyond the stated requirements and add to the projects by creating my own style. Likewise, in music doing my best has improved my ability to play the violin and the saxophone. Some players learn the music, but never go beyond the notes. I put dynamics and meaning into each piece of music and fill it with my interpretation. These are lessons that my brother has taught me and they have made him one of the most influential people in my life. I will always see him as my best role model.
One person who influences my life is my dad. Every day my dad has a lesson for me that in my day is very useul. My dad always encourages me in my sport by tellng me what I can do better. My dad is always there for me when I need his help. He always incourages me to take the right path in my life. The other person that incourages me is my Mom. I know I can I always go to my mom when times are tough. She is always right by my side when I have questions about anything. When I talk to my mom I always learn something. I donot know what I would do with out these two special people influencing me everyday.
The person who influences me most is probably my brother. When he was younger, he made quite a handful of mistakes. But he learned from them and then so did I. He is always very honest about what he doesn't like. If someone is annoying him, he'll tell them to stop. He teaches me the ability to stand up to people and be able to talk to them about how I really feel.
The person that has been the biggest influence in my life is my mom. She has always done almost everything that I can imagine. She enjoys parasailing, she escaped the communist country for freedom, and she is the most amazing cook ever that I think she should be a professional cook on TV. Those things are influential because it shows courage, bravery, and skills. It takes courage to parasail because not many people can fly high up in the sky by themselves and be able to enjoy the amazing view. The bravery goes when she escaped the communist country for freedom in a tiny boat with a lot of people. She is willing to put her life between life and death for freedom. Now a day she loves to cook for her family and friends. She cooks with her soul and love, no wonder why her food is always delicious. Those have taught me to enjoy life, try my best conquer my fears and learn to love everything I do. All that makes me understand he reasons for being pushy sometimes.
I think the person in my life who influences me everyday is my sister, Morgan. She helps me to do my best, and be my best. Even though we all make mistakes, she learns from it, and makes the best out of every situation. She has always been my role model because she is very inspirational, creative, and carefree. I am so lucky and blessed to have her as my sister, because everyday I look up to her, and follow her footsteps to be very successful in life.
My brother has always been the biggest influence on my life. He has always been there for me when I needed him, and even when I didn't. He has taught me that no matter what others think, you are what you are, so be proud of it. He has taught me to be the best at what I do, and always strive for my goals. I don't know what I would be today without my brother, Chris
My brother would probably be my biggest influence in my life. He has taught me so many things, such as, my homework, he always helps my with it whenever I ask. He helps me with basically everything. Whenever I am troubled , I always go to him for help, whether it is video games, music, or sports, I can always go to him for help. Since he is older than me, when he makes a mistake or chooses a wrong move he always comes to me and tells me to not do that when I reach his age. That has helped me tons because without him I probably would not be where I am right now. Sure, we argue occasionally, but that is what makes us brothers. I am very fortunate to have my brother.
My parents have been the biggest influence in my life. They have taught me right from wrong about many things. They are always right by my side when I need them. They have taught me how to stand up for myself and be confident in the things I do. When my mom and dad where both young they tried to do the best they could in the challenges they come across. They did not quit when it things became difficult. The character of not giving up, has benefited them throughout whole lives. I really look at them with pride for not taking the easy path in life and in their determination to keep trying. They always show respect to the people they don’t know. This is another trait that will go with you throughout your life. If you respect the people you meet they will respect you back. When people respect you, it will make your life easier and more joyful. This is why my parents have been the biggest influence on me. I will learn and benefit from these things that my parents taught me.
The person who influences me the most would probably be my mom. My mom is always there with helpful advice. She has taught me many lessons like most parents do. My mom is always telling me I can do what ever I want. This isn’t exactly true, but since she is my mom she has to say stuff like that. One lesson that my mom taught me that has to be the most important is, never wait till the last minute for anything. I don’t always do this, but it’s a good lesson anyway.
My dad is probably the biggest influence in my life. He taught me how important it is to work hard, which has really changed my life. He also taught me to be brave and that I will never succeed unless I risk failure. This has had a real impact on me because it made me who I am today.
There are two main people who influence me. Those two people are my parents. They give me so much support. If I tried my hardest I could never match up to the way they love and care for me. I love to follow in their footsteps, and go on to try new things that they have never tried to do. My parents help me with tough moments in my life. When I am sick they do everything they can to make me feel better. I will always admire my parents way of life. It would be wonderful if I could follow in their foot steps forever. I would never have been like I am today without my parents.
I think my Dad influences me the most. He is always right behind me, helping me succeed. He taught me to never give up, no matter how hard something is. He has also helped me with my art, and this has meant a lot to me. He is always giving my really good advice, and every time I have a problem, I just talk to him.
Unlike most other people on the blog, the person who influences me the most is not my mom. Instead, it is Kurt Cobain (The lead vocalist and guitarist for the Seattle Grunge band; Nirvana.) Although I never knew Kurt personally, he is still one of the biggest influences on me. His actions, his music, his thoughts have taught me many valuable lessons. No matter how bad things seem, there is always a way out.
The person who influences me the most would have to be my mom. No matter what, she is always there for me. She never lets me down and always helps me whenever I'm in a bad mood. She would do anything to help me, and I really apprectiate it. My mom is always telling me to learn from experience, and she is someone that I can just be myself around, and not have to worry about impressing. I will always love my mom, she is the person that influences me the most.
The biggest influence in my life would be my cat. She's always so quiet and peaceful. If the whole world acted like my cat it would be a calm quiet place, Of course we wouldn't get anything done but still things would peaceful and quiet.
Maxy is my biggest influence,(that's my cousin) because he is always there for me and helps me through everything. I can always learn from his mistakes and mine and what he does to fix them. He taught me and helped me understand why being nice to everyone is important and that it will put a smile on their face. Well, it definately puts one on my face. I love him and I don't know what I would do without my cousin, that's why he influences me.
I have a lot of people in my life who influence me, but the person who influences me the most would have to be my mom. She influences me the most because I always know she will be there for me through hard and good times. She helps me learn from my mistakes and tries to teach me things from hers. I can talk to her about anything, and I know if I don’t tell her everything she will find out anyways. I have learned so much from her and continue to learn everyday. She has taught me how to respect others, to be nice to everyone no matter what the circumstances are, that no one knows everything and we can all grow as a person from that, and much more. Even though sometimes I don’t always agree with her, I have to go with what she says because she’s my mom. In the end I know that what she said was the right thing, and now when she tells me something I try to listen and follow what she tells me to do because normally what she says will help me in life. I am very blessed to have a mom to rely on, especially one like her!
The people that have had the biggest influence on my life is probably my family and friends. My mom has taught me many many things, like to never stop believing. My dad has taught me to use my brain and think in other peoples points of view before making a decision about someone or something. My brother has suprisingly thaught be things too. He has mostly taught me about trying hard for sports. Although, my friends on the other hand, have taught me alot of lessons in school. For instance, always come prepared, study(and that doesn't mean just the reveiw), not to procastinate, and most important... How to trust someone and know they will always be there for you.
The most influential people in my life are my mom and dad. My dad because he inspires me and gives me things to shoot for. My dad was a swimmer and so am I, and he always critiques me and gives me motivation. My mom is important because she keeps me on the ball in everything. On projects, if it starts getting closer to the due date, she makes me work on it. Also, whenever I get sad or something she always cheers me up. They are both the best parents and inspire me to do my absolute best everyday.
The person who influences me the most is my mom. My mom is always telling me what to do and yelling at me to make me a better person. She is also hard working, and is always there for me. When I get in a pickle she is always there to help me. She has also taught me to stand-up for myself. However, there are the times when she embarasses my, but otherwise she is a great mom.
It’s not so much people that influence me it’s more the actions they take. I’ve learned many things that have helped me get through many obstacles. I’m someone that doesn’t like to give up that often but will if I don’t get pushed. In sports, one thing that really drives me is basically yelling at me. If someone just says, “Oh it’s ok. You’ll do better next time,” then I can’t really learn anything off of that. If someone says, “This is horrible. You need to do this like you mean it or you’ll sit out!” then I get mad at myself and want to try harder. With my friends, I know how to act when I see them act. If they are acting wrong then I usually know because my friends that act right have taught me better. So, in a way, many people have been my influence. But, they’ve influenced me more by what they show me rather than whom they are.
One of the biggest influences in my life has been professional athletes. I hope to become one, and I watch them to see how they do it, whether it be good or bad. I have seen behaviors that I want to copy, and I have also seen many actions that I want to avoid. A few examples that come to mind are being involved in dog-fighting rings (Michael Vick), steriod use (Roger Clemens), and the use of illegal drugs (Michael Phelps). What I have taken from the publicity of these athletes is that I should always do what is right both on and off the field.
My grandma has made a huge impact on my life. She has always been there when others haven't. No matter what my situation is, she always finds a way to make me feel like I'm worth something. She always says, "No matter who or what bugs you, you can always exterminate the bug with something you enjoy." She has taught me to stand up for what I believe in and not to stand in the shadows and watch when something bad is happening. I believe that my grandma is one of the most influential people that I have ever known.
The person who has the most influence on me is probably my little brother, Jackson. Since he was born, I have learned to be a role model. My little brother watches every thing I do and imitates my every move. If I say something wrong and act up, he is right there with me getting in trouble at the same time. Also, he has taught me to be more patient. Since he is only four he is not capable of the same things that I am. He cannot play video games at the same level I can, he cannot play baseball as well. Sometimes I have to go slowly through a game or even let him win. It has been a great experience to learn from my brother even though he is younger than I am. I look forward to seeing what else I can learn from him in the future.
My mom has been the most influencial person in my life. She is always there for me and leads by example. She has volunteered for numerous jobs and committees for many years while I have been in Friendswood schools. She also volunteers at our church. Her willingness to go above and beyond in order to help others has taught me to do the same. This past October I participated in STRIVE at Friendswood Community Church. STRIVE is a day that the junior high and high school students get together to work and give back to the community through volunteer work. I was in a group of about 20 7th grade girls who went to the Salvation Army in Deer Park. We spent the afternoon helping out where needed. I learned from my mom that if everyone comes together and dedicates a little time out of their busy schedules, things can be accomplished and needs can be met.
