If you were to spend one year on a deserted island and could only take three things with you, what would they be? Why?
Let's see, if I were stranded on a deserted island, it would depend what kind of deserted island. lets make it the kind of island that the Swiss Family Robinson landed on. lets make it modern time. Lets start with modern Swiss Family Robinson island. There, i would probably bring a large mirror, a long distance radio, and a Ak-47 with ammunition. I would bring a large mirror in case a boat or a helicoptor flies by. it would reflect the light (hopfully) into the pilot's eyes. then he might take a hint and fly down onto the island. i would also bring a hunting dog to help me find shelter and food. it would also serve as a companion and a friend. But the AK-47 is the most important, because since there's food and animals on the island, i need it. and the AK-47 is powerful, it would get me food, and i could protect myself from wild animals. the hunting dog would help me find the food so i could shoot the animal for food.
I would definitely bring a pet or a person (if they would count as a thing) because I would probably go insane out of loneliness (literally). They could also prove useful in survival by helping me gather food, water and make a shelter. Another thing I would bring with me is a lighter. This would be a very important object because it would enable me to make fires. Even when there is no liquid left it can still make sparks which can start a fire, and a fire is very helpful for survival. It keeps you warm, cooks meat if you were to hunt (so you don’t get sick from eating it raw), and gives you light when it’s dark (so you could see at night), melts ice or snow into water, and the smoke drives bugs away. The last thing I would bring on the island would be a rather large water filter, so I could drink fresh water and be hydrated to get my other tasks of getting food, water and making a shelter done. (It would be large because the island could be big and I might need a large abundance of water to get around especially to the center of the island, not just the outskirts of the island where there is water.)
If I was stranded on a deserted island for one year, the three things I would take with me are: a knife, a tarp, and flint. The knife would help me in building a shelter and preparing food. The tarp would cover the shelter to keep me dry during rain. I would use the flint to start fires so I could cook, boil water, and keep warm.
If I were stranded on a deserted island and could only take three things with me, I would take a sleeping bag, matches, and a pocketknife. I would use the sleeping bag for sleeping and keeping myself warm, to avoid getting hypothermia. The matches would also be used to keep me warm, and to alert any passerbys of my presence. They could be used to set an open flame for warmth, light, and to be used for cooking. I would use a pocketknife to protect myself against enemies, to hunt for food, and to chop down building materials used to build myself a shelter. I think that these three items are vital for surviving on a deserted island.
Great...apparently, I'm stuck on an island for a whole year? Apart from the obvious questions ("What am I doing here?" "How did I get here?" "Where's my family?" Is there cable?") I would probably be asking myself what I brought along. The first thing I would bring would be a good book, so I wouldn't get bored and drive myself crazy. The second thing would have to be a bow and a set of arrows. With those weapons, I could hunt for food. The third thing I would bring is a lighter, because I have absolutely no idea how to use flint and steel to start a fire. And fire is vital, unless you want to freeze to death at night or get sick from eating raw fish. Those are the three things I would bring to a deserted island.
If I was forced to spend a whole year on an island, I would take a friend who will hopefully be a good companion for me. This is just incase I ever get lonely, homesick, or bored and drive myself mad from isolation. I would bring my phone so that I could contact my family and friends just for someone to chat with and so that I can tell them I'm about to die if I'm about to die, so they won't be freaking out. It would be dreadful if they just didn't know what happened to me, and had to count on lucky guesswork to predict if I'd been eaten by some wild, hungry animal or starved to death. Of course, I doubt there would even be signal at some lonely island, so I'll just forget about bringing a phone, then, if it won't be working for me wherever I'd be. I would bring a book about edible and nonedible roots, shrubs, berries, and other wild vegetation out there. This would be rather useful to me. I would also consider briging a knife, just incase I need to cut some wood to make a fire, kill some animal for food, skin the animal, and a great many more things. If I was allowed to try to escape the island, I would definitely bring a book about how to build a boat. I would still bring the friend and the knife, too.
If I were stranded on an island, I would bring along with me a bundle of flares, to catch the eye of any passerby that might fly or sail by, a small axe/hatchet to cut down any tree for shelter, or to kill any animal that I might be able to eat, and lastly, flint, to create a fire to cook my food and to keep me warm during the cold weather. These items can serve for multiple purposes and can be very useful in the long run.
If I was stranded on a desert island I would bring a PS3 with MW2 inside. A Vizio 47" T.V. and a generator filled with gas. I could play PS3 all day with the generator till it ran dry. I would then just lay down and wait.
If I was stranded a on a island, I would bring a lighter I would use it to light fires and cook things like plants or animals. I would bring some bottles of water just in case the water around the island was not drinkable. Also, I would bring a knife or machete to killed animals to eat and cut trees and plants. With those tools I could live for a good amount of time on the island.
If I was allowed to bring people, I would bring Survivorman, an extremely warm jacket, and fire-making material, such as a lighter. Matches would work too, I suppose. If I was stuck for a year, does that mean that if I could survive and stick it out, would I be rescued by a helicopter or a ship? If so, I would save my last bit of lighter fuel or match to make a blaze that would attract their attention- if I don't burn down the forest by accident first.... I wouldn't trust myself on a deserted island, so I don't recommend leaving me on one.
If I were stranded on a deserted island I would bring a companion, so someone could help me with the struggle on the island. I would bring a pocket knife to hunt for food, and cut things for a shelter. I would also bring some matches to make a fire, bring warmth, and possibly make a signal to be found.
If I was stranded on an island by myself and was able to bring three things, I would bring a pocketknife, matches, and a sleeping bag. I would bring a pocketknife so I that I could cut down branches to build a shelter or a fort. I would also like to have a pocketknife because I would be able to protect myself whenever someone or something bad is on the island that wants to attack me. A third reason I would bring a pocketknife is because I could cut the fruits down from branches. I could also gut any animal flesh I’m eating on the island. I would like to bring matches because I have absolutely no idea how to use flint and steel to start a fire whenever it’s cold outside. I would also like to bring matches so I could heat up food so I won’t get sick from rawness whenever I catch fish or anything else. I can also use the matches as a flashlight whenever I’m looking for something in the dark. I would like to bring a sleeping bag so I won’t have to lay on the dirty ground, so I could get warm whenever I sleep, and so I don’t get sick whenever it is really cold or windy.
If I had to take only three things with me, I would take a Gameboy, the game Tetris, and extra batteries. I would take these so that I would be able to entertain myself on the island.
If I were stranded on a desert island, and were only aloud to take three items, i would take a bible, some rope, and a hatchet. I would take a bible because Jesus is very important to me, anything bad that would happen to me Jesus would protect me. I would take some rope because if I found some palm leaves and some tree wood, I would be able to tie it together. I would bring a hatchet because i could use it for many reasons. Number one i would be able to use it for protection and to help me to have food. Second I would be able to use it to make fire. Last I would be able to use it for cutting braches or anything I could find. So if stranded on a desert island this is what I would bring and why.
Three things? I think I would like more than that. The first out of the three would be my bible, because I love learning about Jesus and all the miraculous miracles he does. Also, I would want to keep in touch with him. The second thing I would take would be soap because I hate feeling nasty, but love the feeling right after a nice shower or bath. The third would be my volleyball. You can do many things with a volleyball. My main action that I like doing is bumping it around and serving it. I wish I could bring more but, those three are on top of the list.
If i was stranded on a deserted island for one year and i could only bring three different things i would bring a friend, a tent, and matches. I would bring a friend because when you have someone with you there are so many more things you can do. It would keep my mind off of where I actually was and it would entertain me. I would bring a tent for shelter and protection. It would make me feel safer at night and let me go to sleep easier. I would bring matches so i could gather firewood and start a fire. If I could make a fire I would have warmth, a way to boil water and get all of the germs out of it, cook food such as fish, and a possible way to get help.
If I was stranded on a dserted island I would bring a bow to use to hunt for food. The best part about that is I can't run out of arrows if I can retrieve them. Secondly, I would bring a knife to use to clean my food, build a shelter, and use any other random tasks that involve cutting something. Lastly, I would bring flint and steel to light a fire which I can use to boil water, cook my food, and alert anyone passing by in a boat or plane that I'm stranded on this island.
I would go crazy, if I was stuck on a deserted island for an hour, but a year! After a year of loneliness, I'd be anything, but sane. I hate it when I'm alone, I feel like I'm empty, not completely there. It's better to be with someone who I don't like, rather than being in total isolation. On my trip to the luxury island I would bring my pet turtle, Tortuga, because we never have disagreements and he always listens to me. (I'm still not exactly sure that turtles can hear.) Also, most turtles are born on islands it would be wonderful for him to be in his natural environment. Of course, we are going to need food and water, so I would bring an HEB or Walmart truck-load of food. The final thing I would bring with me would be a flashlight, for I need to see at night and be prepared for whatever happens at night. In two days worth of time, I can be done creating my shelter and then relax and stay calm for the rest of the trip.
If I were to spend a whole year on an island, the first item I would take a bagful of rations. Instead of hunting for food the first week or two, I would survive on a bag full of food, and water. This bag would also include a first aid kit to use if I get injured hunting, or by a wild animal. The second item would be a survival book to tell me what to eat or what to stay away from and to survive in worst case scenarios. The third item I would bring is a hunting rifle with a lot of ammunition. I would use this to hunt animals on the island after I run out of my bag of rations. With these three items I would definitely survive a year on a deserted island.
I would bring a person to be there with me because the lonliness would be too much. I would bring somthing to find food and maybe a knife or machete. Bringing the machete would be a good idea because you can choop wood and build a shelter. The item that could find food because if you are stranded you need food to survive.
If I were stranded on a desert island, and could only take three items with me, those three items would be a sleeping bag, a flashlight, and a Walmart. The sleeping bag would be for sleeping and warmth, considering how hot or cold the island is. The flashlight would be for light when its dark, and a signal for help, only if anyone ever bothered to sail by. And of course, a Walmart store would be for just about anything else you would need, out stranded on a desert island.
I would bring a raft, some matches, and a swiss army knife. The so I could fish and travel to different parts of the island. Secondly the matches to make a fire. Fires can help cook foods and just keep you warm. Then the pocket knife to create tools to help me survive. One such tool would be a spear to hunt and fish with.
If I was deserted on an island, the three things I would bring with me would be my family, my dog,and food and water, because I need my family for whatever I go through, nd my dog because he would help me when I was lonely and play with me, and food because I need food to live. That's the three things I would take with me if I ws stranded on a deserted island.
If I were stranded on an island, I would bring a friend, a survival kit, and a big pack of food and water. I would want to bring a friend because I would have someone to talk to and someone who would help me around. I would bring a survival kit because it has everything I would need to survive such as, weapons, flint, and many more. I would also bring a big pack of food and water because I could live off of that for a while before I have to start catching and gathering food. Those are the three things I would bring if I were stuck on an island for one year.
If I were stuck on a island for a full year and i could bring three things with me. A girl (or boy) to keep me company. I would take large knife to cut, skin, and for protection. Y
I would bring a knife to cut wood for a shelter and I could strap it to a stick to spear fish. I would also bring a flint to start a fire. Lastly, I would bring a water purifier so I could drink water safely.
If I was stranded on an island for a year, then I would bring a National Geographic Survival Guide, a big knife, and a lighter. The Survival Guide is for knowing what to eat and what to do. The big knife is for cutting tree limbs, cutting food, for hunting, and for protection. The lighter is for starting a fire for cooking, making a smoke signal, and for keeping the insects away. These are the things that I would take with me for my trip.
