DEAR PARENTS, YOUR CHILD IS BEGINNING ACCELERATED MATH, IN EARNEST, THIS
WEEK. EACH CHILD CAN MOVE THROUGH THE 2ND GRADE OBJECTIVES, OR STANDARDS, AT
THEIR OWN PACE. REVIEW IS BUILT INTO THIS PROGRAM, AND IT IS AN EXCELLENT
PROGRAM FOR PREPARING FOR THE STANDARDIZED TESTS YOUR CHILD WILL TAKE FOR THE
FIRST TIME IN IN MAY. IT IS A GOOD IDEA TO HAVE YOUR CHILD LOOK OVER ANYTHING
THAT THEY MISSED ON THE LAST ASSIGNMENT, TOO. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS ABOUT

Monday, 12/7/09 Individual Behavior Charts continue. Our goal this week will
continue to be "Stay in your chair." If we talked about your child being on
individual behavior contract at conference, starting today please ask for the
paper, talk to your child about it and send it tomorrow after you have
completed your part. Thank you.
Math: Daily Math - Monday(due Friday). Memorize Addition (+),Subtraction (-)
math facts. Test on math facts will be given frequently each week.
Accelerated Math (AM) Practice or Exercise.
Spelling: Write list words in ABC Order and three times each.Pretest comes
home today with the list words on it.
Reading: Read your Accelerated Reader (AR) book 20-30 minutes to yourself, to
someone, with someone, or have someone read to you at least five days a week.
Fill in your BEAR Reading Log(due Friday). Parents must sign it.
Tuesday, 12/8/09 Individual Behavior Charts: Parents please look

Write the title and minutes on your new BEAR Reading Log. Parents must sign
