Ms. Eggleston has been teaching at Bishop Elementary for 5 years. She
received her teaching credential and Master's in Education from the
University of California, Santa Cruz. She currently lives in Sunnyvale, but
was raised in Santa Cruz by her parents (who are teachers too) Don and
Mary. Nicole's older sister, Amy, and her niece live in Santa Cruz county
also.
Since teaching, Ms. Eggleston has continued professional development
through Open Court Reading training, Spanish courses, art classes, GLAD
workshops, National Board Certification for teaching, and she also works
closely with the other teachers at her grade level.
2nd grade is a year packed with learning. Our mission is to continue
practice in reading (developing deeper comprehension skills), expand our
writing (learning how to proof-read and edit our own work), and further
develop math skills (2 digit addition and subtraction, telling time,
counting money and early multiplication). Through this extensive learning
we will also grow and learn from each other, and treat each other with
respect and kindness.
