Second trimester is now in full swing. January 22 is the mid-point of the second trimester and the
date when progress reports will be issued. Second trimester ends on March 12.

A note to students who are absent:
I suggest that students pair up with a "study buddy". Students should exchange phone numbers or
email addresses with a fellow student in class in case of absence. I will of course continue to
respond to homework requests, but a classmate might be able to answer your questions sooner!

If you are absent on a day when we are reading in the Language Arts textbook, you may need to
make arrangements to check out a copy of the textbook from our school library. To check out a
textbook, contact our librarian, Mrs. Wolff.

Have you been online to check your your grades lately? I expect that you are going on line regularly
to check your scores. Grades are always available for parents and students to view online. Please
contact Mrs. Mamuyac in the office if you need technical support or have trouble logging on. Please
allow plenty of time for essays, tests, book reports, etc. to be scored and updated in the online
gradebook. Thank you!
