Hello! My name is Shannon Featherstone and I am the Upper Grade Reading
Teacher this year at both Hope and Vieja Valley Schools. This is my second
year in the Hope District, last year I taught 4th grade at Monte Vista. I
feel very lucky to have the opportunity to experience all 3 schools in the
Hope School District!
I am originally from the mid-west although I spent most of my childhood
years in Northern California. I graduated from California State Northridge
with my BA in Liberal Studies and went on to receive my teaching credential
through Westmont College. I feel fortunate to have lived in Santa
Barbara for 11 years and look forward to many more years in such a beautiful
area.
When I am not teaching I love spending time at the beach, going on bike
rides, reading, and spending time with my friends and family.
My mission for the class is to enjoy every day, learn, read, and have fun!
