Timber Point Elementary Site Goals:

We recognize and embrace the concept that helping all students learn requires a collaborative and collective effort. We embrace the fact that our effectiveness must be based on student results - and that these results must be used to inform our professional practice.

Timber Point Elementary Site Goals:

1. Utilize pacing guides and a variety of assessments (ie. common assessments, portfolios, observations, anecdotal record keeping, oral explanations) to inform instruction and demonstrate student learning.

2. Utilize explicit direct instruction (EDI) to strengthen instructional practices and increase student learning.

3. Identify (through formative assessment) and support (utilizing interventions) students whom have not demonstrated proficiency.

4. Improve the culture of care philosophy focusing on the following: improving student attendance, frequent and regular communication with all families, and relationship building, especially with disenfranchised groups to promote social equity.

5. Continue to support the PLC (Professional Learning Community) process, specifically:

a. What is it we expect our students to learn?

b. How will we know our students have learned?

c. How will we respond when our students do not learn?

d. How will we respond when our students have already reached proficiency?

Through ongoing teacher collaboration, Timber Point will strive for excellence in instruction as evidenced by student learning.
