Counselors SSHS counselors work with our teaching staff to provide a comprehensive guidance program that meets the developmental needs of all students through classroom units, Anchor activities, seminars, workshops, assemblies and group/individual counseling. Students will gain competence in the areas of educational goals, career and personal life planning and decision-making. Steamboat Springs High School has four counselors. Students are assigned to a counselor based on their freshmen FLITE class, and continue to work with these counselors throughout their four years at SSHS. Besides working with students on a regular basis, they also arrange a variety of group support meetings. Counselors assist students with academic, social, and personal concerns. They connect students with tutors, group counseling, and other resources in our school and community.
