Are students expected to copy assignments into their agenda books? Yes, students are expected to copy the assignment off my blackboard "word for word" into their assignment books; then I or one of their classmates, representing me, will sign their book with initials ( Mine are sdl.)and a happy face. Is there language arts homework every night? No, there is not language arts homework every night, and often times my students have more than one evening to complete my homework assignments. I do this because of all the outside activities they do. This gives them the opportunity and the RESPONSIBILTY to determine when it is best to complete their homework obligations. Are writing assignments to be completed at home for homework? No. Seventh grade writing never goes home to be worked on. All writing is done solely in class and remains in the classroom. How are grades tabulated for language arts? Students grades are tabulated in the following way: Classwork is 20% Homework is 20% Quizzes are 20% Projects/Presentations are 20% Tests are 20% |
