As we get back to routines and working together in 2010, review of the classroom rules and
expectations are being reviewed frequently. We are off to a good start to the new year.
If a child follows the rules all day long, he/she earns a point toward a reward. When a child has 25
good days, she/he will get to choose a reward from a list. Examples of a reward are: lunch in the
classroom with the teacher, bringing something from home to share or a "No Homework" slip. Students
will be reminded of class rules as needed. Each child keeps track of behavior on a class chart. Every
day, every students starts on green. One reminder about rules means the child moves a clip to yellow
and takes a "Time Out" to think about rules. Two reminders means she/he moves the clip to orange,
takes a "Time Out" and writes a note to her/himself about the problem. Three reminders would put the
clip on red and the child will then write a note home about troubles he/she is having. This note will be
signed by a parent and returned to school the next day.
