Class Policies

HOMEWORK:

Homework is given to review what was learned in class that day or to
prepare students for the next day's lesson. It is for this reason that
students be prepared with their assignments. All work should be carefully
completed reflecting much effort and pride. Students should always feel
that any assignment that has been completed demonstrates their best work.

Our policy for missing assignments is to send home a brightly
colored "Homework Alert". This is to inform you immediately so that your
child will not fall behind in class. The Homework Alert MUST be returned
signed by both parent and student the following day along with the work that
was due. If both the homework and the alert are not returned, students will
receive a consequence. We need our children to take responsibility for
their actions as we want them to establish positive learning habits now.

CLASS PREPARATION:
At the start of every class, students are asked to put their
independent reading book, a pencil(s), a blue/black pen, a highlighter, and
correcting tool out at their space so they are prepared for class. That
way, no time is lost finding these items later when needed.
