Maloney Magnet School is an Interdistrict Magnet School established to serve
students from Waterbury and from the three participating districts of
Plymouth/Terryville, Thomaston and Wolcott. Students from additional
surrounding districts have the opportunity to apply for open seats. Children
in pre-kindergarten through grade five enjoy classes in a state-of-the-art
facility, conveniently located right next to Interstate 84.
Programs and amenities offered at the school include all-day Pre-Kindergarten
and Kindergarten, Japanese Language & Culture, Laptop At Home Program for
students in grades three, four and five, an excellent science curriculum
which makes use of a science lab and greenhouse on the premises, and a multi-
cultural Social Studies curriculum. The school also offers a Before-and-After
School Program on a limited basis. Technology is infused throughout the
curriculums with a state of the art computer lab and classrooms.
