Theme LetterNovember – Daily Routines Theme This month, we’ll be learning about daily routines! We’ll be focusing on activities that we participate in every day, such as getting dressed, bedtime routines, and eating meals with our families! We’ll be learning and practicing concepts such as matching, identifying body parts, counting, sorting, sequencing, making observations, turn-taking, and sharing using objects that we use and see daily! We’ll be developing these skills through hands-on learning activities using common objects such as clothing, toothpaste and toothbrushes, objects we sleep with, and eating utensils! We may participate in learning actvities such as dressing a baby doll, practicing ‘up and over’ with our coats and putting on our shoes, and responding to questions about our clothing! We’ll read books including Getting Dressed by Jeremy Lee, Who Lost a Shoe by Barbara Shook Hazen, When It’s Time for Bed by Nick Butterworth, Flora’s Blanket by Debi Gliori and more! We’ll also be exposed to fingerplays and songs related to our daily routines theme, and we’ll be learning about the colors green and purple, and the shape square! Color Clothing days are Wednesdays. For the next two weeks, please send your child to school wearing one piece of green clothing every Wednesday (Pants or Shirt).
