Theme: Winter
Happy New Year! As we begin to learn about winter, we will read the
book The Snowy Day by Ezra Jack Keats along with many other snow related
books. We will be going outside (when weather allows and is above 35
degrees) to have snow ball fights with Miss Dawn's class (our neighbor) and
go for winter walks. Any winter clothing you send in with your child will be
put on for our outings- please send in extra sneakers if your child is
wearing snow boots for PT days. We will sing many songs such as 'Winter
Wonderland' and 'Jackets, Mittens, Hats and Boots' to the tune of 'Head,
Shoulders, Knees and Toes'.
We will review concepts begun in Decemeber such as winter clothing,
attributes of winter weather such as cold, snow, ice, freezing, and ways to
warm up including hot cocoa, warm baths and changing into different clothes
with blankets once we get indoors. This theme will last for the next 6 weeks
to allow for ample time to concretely learn these core concepts.

**Please dress your child in SNEAKERS and play clothes everyday so that your

participate in group PT. Other types of shoes/ fancy clothes hinder your
childs' safety (these include: crocs, sandals, rain boots, work boots or
party shoes). Thanks!**
**Please see Homework page for Thursdays' Show & Tell assignment.**
**Please see Announcements and Calender pages for upcoming events.**
*Please take a weekly trip to the library. This will help your child review
