A little about me... I complete my BS in Physical Education in 1995 and
I've been teaching for ten years now. I originally taught physical
education while completing my Masters degree in integrated early childhood
education. My first love in education is to teach young children and work
with children with disabilities. During my career I've also directed a
preschool camp, started several sports programs for children with
disabilities and have even coached sports at the high school level. I am
very excited for this year and will always hold with high regard the
privilege of teaching your children. I look forward to working with you and
your children at the beginning of their educational career.
The Preschool team is looking forward to a year in which your children will
play, learn and grow together. This is their pre-Kindergarten year, and the
preschool team will provide a broad range of learning experiences for the
children to develop those skills necessary to make a successful transition
into the elementary school setting.
This is a play-based, literature theme approach that you and your child will
enjoy. Storybooks are the framework for setting up stimulating learning
activities. The children love to read and role play the stories. The related
play activities set up at centers motivate the children to have fun while
learning. It is a Transdisciplinary approach, which means that our team can
focus on the many different areas of your child’s development at the same
time.
