The Banneker High School library is a place for quiet reading, research,
thinking and writing. Every user is expected to respect the rights of
others to pursue these activities in a calm atmosphere.

The library is open most days both before school (from 8:10 a.m.) and during
the lunch hour. Often, the library will be open for a short period after
school. The library is NOT open after school on Wednesdays or on Community
Lab days.

Food and drinks can potentially ruin books and computer equipment, and can
attract insects and rodents. ALL food and drinks are absolutely prohibited
at all times in the library.

Library materials can be checked out for a period of three weeks. Library
materials may be renewed once for an additional period of three weeks.
Because of the limited number of items in our collection, we ask that
students check out only two items at a time. Students with outstanding
overdue items will not be permitted to check out additional items.
