Do I need a TI-83 Plus graphing calculator for this class?

Yes.  Algebra II has lots of graphing.  Statistics is dependent on a 
calculator.  I will teach you how to use the TI-83.  You need it for 
advanced math, science, and college.  It is an important learning tool. 
investment!
