The fifth grade requirement is 15 points each nine weeks with an average
percent correct of 85%. This requirement must be met to receive rewards.
It is helpful for students to plan to stay on track with their points. I
have suggested that to meet the 15 point goal, students should read about 2
points per week. So, half point books should take about 1 day to read and
students should read 4 books per week. One point books should take 2 days
and students should read 2 books per week. Two point books should be read
in one week. This same idea can be used for students to plan how long they
should take to read other books.
