I am a ‘Georgia Native’. I was born in Atlanta and also attended schools in the
Atlanta area. I received my BA from Georgia State University and graduate
work at Kennesaw State University. I am a HUGE ‘Bulldog’ fan, however, my
husband attended Georgia Tech so football season gets a little tense around
the Bailey household. I have three children, two grandchildren with another
on the way in March and a miniature dachshund named Jack (who thinks he’s a
human).
I have been teaching for 34 years in Georgia. My first 5 years were at The
Walker School, followed by 1 year of teaching English at Awtrey Middle School,
17 years teaching 3rd and 5th grades at Still Elementary and my last 11 years
at Frey Elementary. I truly enjoy teaching as no two days are ever alike and
that, has a way of keeping you alert and quick thinking!! I do, however,
plan on retiring at the end of this school year. One can only handle so much
fun!?! Therefore, this will truly be a memorable year for both the class and
me as we both look forward to a great, final, year (at Frey) together!!!
Our Mission is grow into independent thinkers, using both the talents that we
were given at out birth and the knowledge that we acquire along the way.
