All Classes: Review all worksheet given out thus far to prepare for you mid-
term test this Thursday. Don't forget to remind parents about our meeting
on Thursday at 6:30 PM in my classroom to discuss our Rome and Paris
Educational Tour.

9th CP: Finish reading "The Red-headed League" and complete your flashcards
for your vocabulary words. Your test over "The Red-headed League," "The Cask
of Amontillado," and "Casey at the Bat" is Monday, Sept. 8.
9th Gifted: Complete your essay to turn in Friday.

9th CP: Read to the bottom of page 108 in "The Red-headed League" and
complete your worksheet.

Freshmen CP: Review your literature terms from the short stories and poem
we have read for your test on Monday, Sept. 8. Your vocabulary quiz is next
Friday.
Freshmen Gifted: Your short story test is next Tuesday. Your essay is due
next Friday. Your vocabulary quiz is two weeks from today.
Wednesday, Aug. 25
9th CP: Write a paragraph describing a type of mask you wear to hide your
feelings sometimes. Explain when you where it and what are some of the
feeling you try to keep others from seeing.
Your flashcards are due Friday. Your roots test is Friday.
9th Gifted: Read from page 97 to the bottom of page 108 of "The Red-headed
League. On a piece of paper, write down who you the crimminal is, what
crime he or she is in the process of committing, and three clues from the
story that helped you reach that decision.
Your fish and roots test are Friday.

9th CP: Write a story describing a time when you let someone down. Study
for your roots test on Friday. Your vocabulary flashcards are due Friday.

test tomorrow over "The Sniper" and "The Most Dangerous Game." Bring index
cards tomorrow to work on your flashcards for your root words. Your essay
is due Monday.
9th Gifted: Your essay is due tomorrow. Review your Greek and Latin roots
for your test next Friday.
All Classes: Return the back page of your syllabus where you parent signs
and your emergency contact form.
9th CP: Write an introductory paragraph for your essay explaining how you
are like a punctuation mark. The paragraph is due tomorrow.
9th Gifted: Write your rough draft of your essay on what punctuation mark
you are most like. The essay is due Monday.
