Does my child need to bring a snack to school?

We have snack every day around 9:00. Even if they eat a good breakfast, the
children are often hungry before lunch. I recommend that your child bring a
nutritious snack every day so he or she can make it through the morning
without getting too hungry. Please do not send in juice or sweet drinks. The
children have water.

Do you celebrate birthdays at school?

Children often like to celebrate their birthday with their classmates. If
you would like to send in a birthday treat, please contact me so we can make
arrangements.

What if my child has a summer birthday?

If your child has a summer birthday, we can celebrate his or her un-birthday.
Maybe we could choose the 1/2 birthday date. Just let me know and we can
arrange an un-birthday for your child.

When should media center books be returned?

We go to the Media Center every Tuesday at 1:00. Mrs. Parks will either
share a media lesson or the children will enjoy storytime. They will also
have an opportunity to check out books. Please make sure your child has
his/her books so they can check out new books. Children are not allowed to
check out books if they have an overdue book. A book may be borrowed for
two weeks before it's overdue.

What if I need to change the way my child goes home in the afternoon?

Please send in a note the morning of the afternoon transportation change. If
you need to make a change during the day, please contact the school office
and they will notify me of the change. Please do not e-mail the change as
I may not get that message until after the school day has ended.
