Flat Stanley is a story about a little boy who is flattened by a falling
bulletin board. He uses this to his advantage and is able to visit his
friends by traveling through the mail in an envelope.
Our class will have their own Flat Stanley this year. Flat Stanley really
loves to travel so if your family will be taking a trip, please feel free to
invite him along. Just let us know and we will send him home in your child's
folder. When your child returns from the trip, he/she will share Flat
Stanley's adventures with the class. We would also love to see pictures of
Flat Stanley on vacation or read a brief diary of all the fun that he had.
Finally we will find the location on a map and learn a little more about it.
This has always been a lot of fun for the children and hopefully they will
enjoy it this year as well. Just don't tell them that it is actually a
geography lesson!
