I am a recent graduate from Georgia State University. I spent 2 years in the
education program interning at 6 schools around different parts of the Metro-
Atlanta area. In August 2006 I began student teaching at Tritt in 2nd grade.
I graduated four months later in December, spent a few months subbing at
Tritt consistantly, and then supplied in a Kindergarten class (with Indie
Smith) at Tritt for the last 3 months of the school year. Last year was my
first offical year teaching kindergarten at Tritt. I've been extremely lucky
to work with Indie for the past year and a half, I am grateful to be working
with her again this year. I've had a blast being a part of the Tritt
family, and I'm really excited to start another great year here!
I spent all 4 years at GSU as the starting goalkeeper for the Women's
Division 1 soccer team. I am now "retired" from soccer, but still have a
place for sports in my heart.
I spent a few summers working as a counselor and a Unit Head at the
Chattahoochee Nature Center's Camp Kingfisher. I love introducing nature to
children, and hope to bring some of those ideas into the classroom. I enjoy
camping, hiking, moutain biking, and being outside!
