Homework for my class is very simple. Students have homework four
nights a week, for approximately 15-20 minutes. This included reading each
night, working on spelling words, and practicing math facts.
If your child is absent from school, he/she will have homework that is to
be completed and returned to school. The district policy on homework is the
student is allowed one day to complete the work for each day missed. Your
child will have a clear folder that the missed work will be placed in. If
your child has a sibling at Eisenhower it is helpful when they bring it home.
Otherwise it can be left in the office for you to pick up. Please see that
your child finishes the work and returns it and the folder by the due date.
Many times grades are taken and the work must be completed or a zero will be
recorded. This helps the kids get ready for 3rd grade.
