We are working hard to master functions with decimals, such as rounding,
multiplying, and dividing. While we have moved on, we will continue to re-
visit these concepts throughout the unit and through homework assignments.
We are currently working on measurement. We have worked to identify units of
measure in both the standard and metric measurement systems. We are figuring
our what unit is best to use, converting between units, andunderstanding how
measurement realtes to decimals (as part of a whole).
A fun idea might include drafting a "blueprint" of your bedroom. See if your
child can rearrage his/her bedroom using measurements! Where will the
furniture fit best?
To my Math A buddies... this does NOT mean I am saying you should rearrange
your room! :)
