RAP 1, SAT Prep, and HSA Mastery
RAP 1
1. Students Academy of Reading portfolios must be updated weekly with skills
mastered and quarterly time on task. Portfolios must contain sheet
protectors for skills mastered and 5 dividers labeled MP1, MP2, MP3, MP4,
and Progress/Tests
2. All binders with notes must be organized with dividers for 5 sections
HSA Mastery
1. Students are encouraged to read and focus in class on skills which
include: grammar, reading for understanding,literary analysis, extension of
meaning, usage and conventions, controlling language, and sentences and
paragraphs.
2. Students will practice skills online at: msde.mdk12online.org
SAT Prep
1. Course includes application of strategies to master the reading and
writing SAT.
2. Scope and Sequence includes: word analysis, content area reading
comprehension, critical thinking, and vocabulary development
