How can I contact Mrs. B. with questions about fourth grade or switch class?

If your student is in my homeroom, send me a note in the agenda. Switch
parents can contact me at bonneaugail@gmail.com or call school and leave a
message on the voice mail, extension 242.

How does Mrs. Bonneau handle birthday treats?

Some families don't believe in celebrating birthdays and some do like
to send a treat for the class to share on or near a child's
birthday. If a parent would like to send in a treat with the student
or drop it off sometime during the day, we certainly will eat it and
wish your child a happy day!

When is snack break?

Snack break occurs at different times during the day, when
appropriate, or sometimes not at all if we are pressed for time. Our
lunchtime is early, at 11:30 a.m. so I will try to fit in a short snack in the
morning. I don't care if the kids share as long as it's not always the same
child who is giving. Try to send something nutritious.

What kind of supplies does my child need for the classroom?

The school supplies paper, as well as all text materials, and agendas.
Students are expected to buy replacement folders and agendas if needed. I
will periodically send home a supply list. The kids always have the option
to borrow from other students when they run out of materials but not to take
advantage of the generosity of their peers.

How can my child earn extra credit?

There is a wide variety of opportunities to earn extra credit. If your family
takes a trip or visits a place that is educational, your student may do a
poster and oral report to get extra grade points. This is completely optional
and done to support independent learning that goes on outside of the
classroom. To get the extra credit, first make a plan, then fill out the extra
credit worksheet. I will meet with you to talk about setting a presentation
date or let you know that your extra points have been recorded.

What if our family doesn't own a computer?

Computers are used more and more in the classroom and are a great tool for
research and word processing. If you don't have one yet, you might want to
become familiar with using the ones provided at the public library. I will
keep our web site current with announcements.

What do you need me to sign?

Agendas will need to be signed daily. Take Home folders contain valuable
information to keep you informed and need to be signed weekly. I will also
ask you to sign permission slips, and some tests. This is so I know that you
have seen these items and have gone over them with your child.

What's the best way to send money to Mrs. Bonneau?

All money should be sent to class in a sealed envelope or zip lock bag.
Written on the envelope is your child's name and the purpose for the
payment.
