Reading Genre

 Genre                 girlreading.png

Third graders will study a variety of genres this year in school. I encourage my students to explore books from these different genres throughout the school year. Our classroom library has many book tubs that are categorized into the different genres we study in third grade. Below you will find an overview of these genres, along with a book list to aide your child in their book selection process.

A genre refers to the type of literature you are reading. This chart shows the various kinds of genres you can choose from.
