Hi! I'm Ms Linda Nowak, your child's third grade teacher. This will be my
37th year as an elementary teacher in the Taylor School District. I am really
looking forward to this year and working with you and your child. Third grade
is such a fun grade. It is also a very important year for your child. It is
so exciting to watch children grow through the year and become responsible,
independent students. I LOVE being a teacher and couldn't imagine doing
anything else!

I was born and raised in Dearborn, Michigan. I attended Eastern Michigan
University where I received my Bachelor of Science degree and my Masters of
Education degree. I began my career as a First Grade Teacher at Eurekadale
Elementary School. I taught 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th grades at Eurekadale,
Wareing, Taylor Parks and Treadwell Elementary Schools. After that I was
assigned to Brake Junior High to teach Cooking to the 7th, 8th and 9th
graders. I also taught reading and English at Brake for the next five
years. Next, I became a Compensatory Education Facilitator (for those who
remember, a CEF) for the district. I worked in that capacity for the next
nine years at Myers, Treadwell, Eurekadale, Randall, and Racho. I am
currently in my 12th year (I think) of teaching 3rd grade at Randall and I
LOVE it!

I have lived in Livonia for many years. I have two daughters, Jill and
Jennifer, who are grown up, married, mothers, and teachers too. They are
married to Brendan and Matt (also a teacher). I have three wonderful
grandchildren who are the world to me. Of course I can't forget my furry
little baby, Gibby. My 15 year old Tabby cat, who my students, past and
present, have heard many, many stories about. I used to bring him to school
once a year but he is getting old and he can't take the travel in the car
anymore.

I enjoy cooking, watching sports, traveling, eating out, shopping and being
outside when the weather is warm.
