I graduated from the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth, Mn where I
received a BA degree in Elementary and Middle School Education. I have a
specialty license in 6-8 grade earth, life, and physical science. I enjoy
teaching and learning new skills whenever I get the chance.
I am currently attending the University of St. Thomas in pursuit of my
masters degree in Education/Reading with a K-12 Reading License. I look
forward to graduating in the fall of 2011.
My interests include watching and attending Minnesota sports (go wild, twins,
and t-wolves), running, rollerblading, painting,
swimming, spending time with family and friends, reading, playing guitar,
and hiking at state parks.
I believe that all children need to be comfortable in their learning
environment. I believe that all children can learn no matter the disability
they have to overcome. I believe in hands on activities that aid in
children's learning. It is my goal, as a teacher, to reach out to all
learners. Each child is unique and may learn differently. I hope to have a
relationship with each student that allows me to understand the way they
learn and move forward with them towards their own understanding of the
subject matter we are working on.
