| Math Masters is an advanced Math Competition open to interested qualifying
students from the 5th and 6th grade.
In 5th grade, students requested a preparation packet., worked
independently on challenging math problems for several weeks, and took a team
qualifying test in the spring. The highest scorers on that test are
currently meeting
with the enrichment coordinator weekly to prepare for the regional Math
Masters meet - a one time competition held May 2 at Lakeville High School.
In 6th grade, Ms. Fridgen works with the Math Masters problems periodically
in the advanced math class. A team qualifying test was given to determine
the team which competed in the regional meet on Mar. 14, finishing in the top
half of all competing schools.
