Thank you to several parents who have purchased items for our classroom!  These items 
have been greatly appreciated and well used by our students! 

There are a few things that we can always use:

Large Pillows-  We use these for reading, or for setting up a quiet spot in the room for 
small group work.  We currently have about 5, and I would like to work toward a classroom 
set.  

PetSmart Gift Cards:  We have our aquarium up and running.  Gift cards allow us to add 
more fish or buy maintenance materials. 

New or used books for our classroom library.  (5th grade level chapter books or 
interesting non-fiction books).  

Empty Cereal boxes:  We will have a writing unit coming up in which each student will 
need an empty cereal box.  

And finally, if someone wins the lottery,  a rather expensive item I would utilize in the 
classroom is a classroom LCD projector which I can hook up to a computer.  If your work 
ever decides to get rid of an old one, please let me know.  They are great for enhancing 
the curriculum with visual elements from the internet, etc.
