I completed my undergraduate degree at the College of St. Benedict and earned
my Master's Degree from St. Mary's University. I began my teaching career in
1988 at St. Thomas the Apostle School in Minneapolis where I taught first
grade for two years. I then taught kindergarten at St. Helena
School in Minneapolis for ten years. While at St. Helena, I began a full-day
kindergarten program. In 2000, I transferred to St. Ambrose School. Over
the years I've learned that teaching kindergarten is a challenging job, but
one that keeps me young at heart!
As a kindergarten teacher, I am committed to providing the best possible
education for each child. I strive to aid in the total development of the
child: socially, emotionally, intellectually, physically, and spiritually.
My goal is to provide an atmosphere of learning that challenges the children
and encourages self-reliance. By providing a stimulating and nurturing
environment where learning is exciting and fun, my goal is for the children
to develop a healthy, eager, and happy attitude toward learning.
