CHURCH CHAT

We are talking about Advent and realizing how difficult it is to wait. We
are learning ways to make the wait easier by thinking of others.

JUST THE FACTS

Keep practicing those math facts!!

READING COUNTS

Weekly reading logs are due each Monday. The document can be found on
Teacherweb. You are welcome to print them weekly and have your child bring
the signed paper to school on Monday or you can send it via email. Your child
will receive a small reward at the end of the month if the Weekly Reading
Logs are turned in on time. Please note that this is not an optional
assignment and will go towards a reading grade. Rewards for the month of
December will be found in your child's folder next Tuesday.

TEAM SPIRIT

We took our book test this week and have moved into our new book called Team
Spirit. We will be reviewing ways to be successful family members and
classmates. Jim Richardson spoke to us about friendship and how we can be
better friends to each other.

SNACK ATTACK

The children will have time each day to enjoy a snack and a little break.
Please send one healthy snack to school with your child each day.

TREAT CART

Next Tuesday, the 8th grade is sponsoring a treat cart with hot chocolate and
cookies. Treats can be purchased for $1.00 each. Proceeds will benefit a
local charity.

CHARLIE BROWN

We were able to attend the Charlie Brown play in Mrs. Schoen's class today.
What a great way to celebrate the coming of Christmas. Thank you, 5th grade!

MUSIC PROGRAM

Our annual Christmas musical performance will be held Monday, December 21st
at 7:00. For your viewing pleasure, our first grade class will be facing the
left side of the church. Please have your student to the classroom by 6:45
that evening. You are invited to pick up your child in the classroom at the
end of the performance.

LAST DAY OF SCHOOL

You are welcome to send treats for the class on Tuesday, December 22.

Have a Merry Christmas!
