FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions: This page contains answers to common questions of students and parents.
  1. Why must the students memorize 53 prepositions?
  2. How can I/my child get a better grade on an assignment?
  3. How can I/my child make up points on a Spelling or Vocabulary sheet/quiz?

Why must the students memorize 53 prepositions?

The students memorize the prepositions as a foundation for learning how to
write a complete sentence. Because prepositional phrases are so common in
English, but are never the subject or verb in a sentence, it is necessary to
be able to find and disregard them.

How can I/my child make up points on a Spelling or Vocabulary sheet/quiz?

Students can make up points on Spelling or Vocabulary sheets or quizzes by
writing sentences using the words for which they lost points. The words
should be used correctly and underlined, and the sentences should be properly
punctuated, etc. These sentences can be turned in for one week after they are
returned, and one-half point will be added to the sheet/quiz for each
correct sentence.
The student should also turn in the original sheet/quiz with the make-up
sentences.
