Library Policies

1. The Library is open before and after school.

2. Every student entering the Library must have an individual hall pass, a 
student ID, and a specific task.  Have your pass signed before returning to 
class.  Librarians will not pass students elsewhere.  SUBSTITUTE TEACHERS 
MAY NOT PASS STUDENTS TO THE LIBRARY.

3. No food or drink, gum or candy.
 
4. Xerox copies and computer printouts for assignments are free.  Others 
cost 10 cents.  

5. U.S.A. Today, Clarion-Ledger, and Hattiesburg American newspapers are at 
the Circulation Desk.
 
6. The online catalog is the OPAC (Online Public Access Catalog).
 
7. Books check out for 2 weeks and may be renewed.  You may have a maximum 
of 3 books at one time.  Overdue books accrue a fine of 5 cents per day.  
You must return items and pay fines before receiving your report card.
 
8. When you have finished using an item in the Library, place it on the blue 
book truck.  Push chairs under tables; throw away trash.
 
9. Computers use Student (Login) and Blair (Password).
 
10. Internet here is for educational purposes only.  NO GAMES.  NO CHAT.  NO 
INSTANT MESSAGING. NO LYRICS.
 
11. Click on the disk icon to save files to "student files." There are no  
disk drives on student computers.  Student files will be deleted at the end 
of the nine weeks.  The library sells CD-Rs for $1.00.
