Media Center InformationMedia Coordinator: Johanna Humphrey Contact me at 910.462.4669 ext. 1012 Hours: 8:00-3:10 Monday - Friday Check Out Policies for Students Students may check out two books at a time for a period of two weeks. Books may be renewed if necessary. Students may not check out magazines, software or movies. Check Out Policies for Teachers Teachers may check out a maximum of 140 books for the entire school year, if necessary. Teachers may also check out movies, software & equipment. All items checked out by teachers are due the last day of school.
Fines Neither students nor teachers are fined for overdue books.No new books can be checked out by students until all overdue books have been returned or paid for. If a book is lost or damaged, a fine will be assigned to the student and must be paid before any more check outs. Any student still owing a fine at the end of the school year will not be able to get his/her report card until the fine is paid. Fines may be paid at any time to Mrs. Humphrey. Checks are accepted, made payable to Carver Middle School.
Book Fair The Media Center hosts one to two book fairs each school year. Parents are encouraged to attend the fair with their child. Book fairs are a great way to keep your child reading while away from school, especiallly during summer break.
