Welcome back!
I hope you all had a fantastic break. Can you believe that this is the last nine weeks and your
child will soon be a 5th grader? As we move into a very crucial time of the year (testing),
please help us do all we can to prepare them for success. Here are some tips to help:
*Make sure your child reads EACH NIGHT.
*Have them at school on time. Remember the building is open at 7:20.
*Try to keep appointments after 12:30 to ensure no instruction is missed.
*Talk about the upcoming testing with your child and reassure any fears. This should not be a
time to STRESS OUT, rather a time to show everyone how much they have learned this year!

Please note that EOG dates are listed wrong in the PTA calendar. Please mark the week of May 18
as EOG WEEK!

Field Trip money to see the movie Planet Earth on Wednesday, April 22 is due now! The cost is
$8.00 and parents are welcome to join us at the theater for an additional cost (pre-paid) of
$6.50.

Website Change
Beginning next week, my website will change. You will be directed to it when you click from
Codington’s page. The only downside is that I will not be able to send out newsflashes.
Therefore, everyone will be receiving a paper newsletter on Mondays. Please check the website
frequently for pictures, recent news, and other important info.

As the weather begins to warm up and flip flops become a necessity , please remember that
your child will need a pair of sneakers at school daily for recess.
