Welcome! I'm excited to be working with both you and your child this year!
Let me tell you a little bit about myself. My name is Ashley Pride and I
was born and raised in Morgantown, WV. I come from a family of 6 girls and
1 boy. Growing up in a large family was both LOUD and exciting. Holidays
are always the best! :-)
In 2nd grade, I decided that when I grew up I wanted to be a teacher just
like my 2nd grade teacher, Miss Anderson. During college, I attended a small
university in Fairmont, WV and moved to North Carolina to begin my teaching
career in 2005. This is my 5th year teaching at Holly Springs Elementary.
I've taught both 2nd and 3rd grade.
My mission for all my students is to provide a place where they feel secure
and safe to foster the highest level of learning. I hold high expectations
for all my students and am dedicated to the academic and social success of
every student. Each child in my classroom is unique, and as a teacher I work
daily to meet the needs of each individual student. I believe that
differentiation is the key to promoting successful learning.
