getting out of trouble like Ruby Redfort, girl detective on TV. When you 
have a strict teacher like Mrs. Wilberton who appreciates good spelling and 
when you are the worst speller in the world, trouble is your middle name!


Earthquake Terror by Peg Kehret

Jonathan's mother breaks her ankle on the deserted island where the family 
is camping. Jonathan and his physically challenged sister must stay behind 
while their father takes their mother to the hospital. A devastating 
earthquake hits. The bridge off the island is destroyed. The camping 
trailer is smashed, and they have no food or water. Suddenly, Jonathan and 
Abby are fighting for their lives.

Nicky Fifth on . . . 32 Dandelion Court by Lisa Funari Willever

Eleven-year old Nicky's life is going great. He loves baseball, hanging out 
with his friends, and living on Fifth Street in Philadelphia. He's set to 
begin the baseball season as a starting pitcher. He loves living in a

Sarah, Plain and Tall by Patricia MacLachlan
