Dear Parents,
This week has been a crazy week already, especially with the delayed
opening and everyone coming in the afternoon. We are reading material that
has to do with Christmas trees, the Gingerbread Man, and we are continuing on
our mission of rhyming words.
For some of us rhyming words are extremely difficult. Practice,
practice, practice is the key to success. I have sent home practice homework
in the shape of puzzles. Please practice this with your children. Have them
repeat it back to you. Find things at home and ask them to use a rhyming
word with it. We continue to read books that have rhyming words in them.
Remember to tell them that it is the end of the word that has to sound the
same, not the beginning.
Please remember that our Gingerbread House Project will take place on
Friday, 10:00 for the am classes and 1:30 for the pm classes. It is very sad
to watch the faces of children whose parents/relative/friend are not there to
greet and help them with their project. Please find a way of sending someone
in to help them. It is a great project and it only takes about an hour of
your time. It brings a smile to every child's face when they see that
special someone sitting at the table waiting for them. They are only little
once, help make this day special for them.
We are in need of more hand sanitizer if anyone thinks of it when they
are at the store.
