 Good Morning everyone;

 Our early dismissal on Nov. 5th was a big success as staff meet and shared information/data regarding our tracking sheets and interventions, making recommnedations and improvements.    The discussions were informative and meaningful as we looked at past practices and planned for the future.   The part that impressed me was the commitment by our staff to the success of every student.   Questions such as "How can we support students?, How can we intervene earlier?, What positive interventions can we implement to support students?" were the themes of the day.    I felt it was a good day.

The Band Program is fininshing off their Fall Citrus campaign soon.  Contact the school office if you would like to place an order (by Nov. 12th).

ARRA will be organizing a School Clothing Campaign shortly.   We will offering hooded sweat shirts, zippered hoodies, short sleeve t-shirts, slong sleeve t-shirts, and shorts.   We hope to be offering the clothing sale from Nov. 19th until Nov. 30th.    Keep an eye out for sales flyers and I will post a printable flyer on the web site.

I want to thank staff (especially Mr MacFadyen, and Mr. Glenen for organizing our service) and students for the wonderful Rembrance Day service on Tues. Nov. 10th.   It was a nice service recognizing our veterans, peace keepers, and armed forces members.   A special thanks to Captain John Pulchny for sharing his story and thoughts regarding the importance of Remembrance Day.  It really added a nice touch to have a current member of our armed forces present.

On Nov. 19th, ARRA staff and students will be walking downtown to participate in the Olympic Torch Run.    This is a historic event for our students and community.   The last time the torch visited Annapolis Royal, Mr. Fry was actually a torch carrier.

Our next Home and School and SAC meeting is Tues. Nov. 24th at 6:30 pm.  We are still looking for new members.   Come join us for a few laughs but more importantly to help us shape the direction ARRA should take in the future.

Have a great day.   Grant Dunn, Principal
