ARRA is a middle school located in the middle of the town of Annapolis Royal.
The school offers the following susbjects to the students: English,
Mathematics, Science, Social Studies (History and Geography), Music, Art,
Physical Education, Computer Science, Health, Personal Development and
Relationships, French, and an accelerated French program option for Grade 7
and 8 called Extended Core French and Science Humaine (Social Studies taught
in French).
There are a variety of extra-curricular activities in which students can
participate. These include varsity sports' teams for soccer, volleyball,
basketball, curling, cross country running, track and field, and badminton
to name some. There is an active concert band program for students in Grades
7 and 8. Students can become involved in other groups and activities such as
Student Council, chess club, yearbook, cheerleading, dance committee. The
intramural sports program is very active and tries to get many students
involved in representing their classes in friendly competition.

ARRA has approximately 220 students in grades 6, 7, and 8. There are 3
homeroom classes at each grade level. Students travel to different rooms for
their various courses.
The timetable for the school works on a 6 day rotation. Each day consists
of 7 periods of 45 minutes duration. As most of the students are bused
to school, a hot lunch program is available at noon recess.
