SUMMER PROGRAMS (Info in College & Careers Room)Oxbridge Academic Programs will be holding an informational reception on Sunday, November 8, 2009 from 2-4 pm at Barnard College, Columbia University, James Room, 4th Floor, Barnard Hall, 3009 Broadway@ 117th Street, New York, NY (212) 854-5262. They will also have an informal reception on Saturday, December 12, 2009 from 2-4 pm at the Greenwich Academy, Noble Room, Ruth West Campbell Hall Building, 200 North Maple Ave., Greenwich, CT (203)625-8900. They offer students in grades 9-12 opportunities to study abroad in the summer of 2010 . The programs that would be offered in Oxford, Cambridge, Paris, Montpellier and Barcelona. Programs include Art History, Literature, Politics & Economics, Drama, Creative Writing, Speech & Debate, Global Medicine, International Law, Business & Finance, Architecture, Filmmaking and French and Spanish Language . Sixty-five courses, excursions to London (4), Stonehenge, Warwick Castle, Stratford-upon-Avon, sports and evening activities offered every night. It is divided into two schools, The Upper School which is comprised of students who have completed grades 9-12 and Access Exeter which is opened to students who have completed grades 7 or 8. Students may obtain catalogs and application packets by visiting the website www.exeter.edu/summer The Princeton University Summer Journalism Program is for students from low-income backgrounds to come to the Princeton's campus in the summer for an intensive, 10-day seminar on journalism. All expenses, including travel costs to and from Princeton, are paid for by the program. If you are currently a junior, live in the US, have at least an unweighted 3.5GPA, must have an interest in journalism and the combined income of your custodial parent(s), guardian(s) plus child support payments, if any, must not exceed $45,000 then please come into the C&C room and pick up an application. Cook Honors College Indiana University of Pennsylvania will take place from July 11th - 24th. Classes will meet M-F from 9-12 for classes chosen by the student and again between 1-4 for Honors Core. All classes are taught by IUP faculty. These are one-week summer residential programs for high school students who excel in math and science, enjoy solving problems, and want to learn more about careers in engineering.
